Meet Jonathan

Jon Schwartz started the TV Commercial and Content division at Washington Square Films in 1997. Since then, Washington Square Films has grown into one of the top Production Companies in the industry. In commercial film production, Washington Square Films has won many Cannes Lions and been well represented at every major Awards Show. They represent a number of award-winning directors who create commercials and branded content. Their elite client roster includes General Motors, Pepsi, Bose, Honda, Chevrolet, Home Depot, Apple, Kellogg's, Popeyes, Dollar Shave Club, Toyota, Amazon, Progressive, Citgo, Ford, Meta, Burger King, Spectrum, and many others.

After a recent cancer diagnosis, Jon faced his greatest battle with the same passion and strength that defines his career. While continuing to champion groundbreaking commercial film work, he  embarked on a deeply personal journey—writing a memoir that blends his decades of experience in the film industry with his lifelong love of rock music. Through this book, Jon shares untold stories from behind the camera, his insights on creativity and perseverance, and his reflections on life, music, and legacy.

While Jonathan Schwartz passed away on May 17, 2025, his memory lives on in his Memoir Fuck Cancer: My Story - Blow Ups with Bryan Adams, Breakouts in Production, and Battles with Cancer
